You did not say if it only happened while connected. If not my new Pismo was 
crashing frequently due to a heat problem. After you check the normal things 
that Bruce mentioned, get an app that will check the processors temperature, 
like Metronome, Guage Pro (both freeware) or Thermograph (shareware). All 
should be found at versiontracker.com.

Mine had a h/w problem and Apple solved it by gutting and rebuilding it the 
second time in. They missed it the first time in.
