Everyone's responses to your question is correct- it takes pretty extreme conditions to trigger that fan. However, you said you were investigating the possibility of a problem; can you elaborate on symptoms, or do you just think the fan is broken? If the machine is running normal, I wouldn't worry about it. I have Powerlogix Cache Profiler (v1.4) in my Wallstreet to check on temperature, and I typically see around 51 to 55c as normal. __C -- Chrys R.
