I know that the lg version of the 2000 edition powerbook DVD ROM drives have been known to go bad and know of several cases since i am one of them, but i would like to know if there is proof via knowledge base or otherwise that there is a known problem. I would like information from either a certified apple tech or known documents on the issue. I am takin the matter up to get mine repaired via third party not apple to fix the issue thanks James
