Actually, it does have a whois record......... you just have to ask the right server :) whois.internic.net (the default whois server in most utilities) only services .com, .net, .org, and .edu, as it states in it's return: > The Registry database contains ONLY .COM, .NET, .ORG, .EDU domains and > Registrars. try querying whois.nic.nu and you get....... > .NU Domain LTD Whois service > > Domain Name (UTF-8): freehost.nu > Record ID: 73016. > > Record last updated on 18-Jan-2002. > Record expires on 11-Jan-2004. > Record created on 11-Jan-2000. > Record status: Active. Actually, it appears that the specified primary name server (ns1.dynamichosting.com) doesn't return any value for that address: *** dd-dns.ai.net can't find www.freehost.nu: Non-existent host/domain (dd-dns.ai.net is the same as ns1.dynamichosting.com). So.... it looks like their DNS provider either terminated their service for one reason or another, or their DNS server is just goobered. Probably not related to the Apple documents, since FreeHost wasn't the offending party, but instead it was one of their members. -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
