There is no trick. What it probably means is that the PC card cage in your Wallstreet is damaged. There might be some pins bent, or the ejection mechanism has been damaged. I had the PC card cage replaced 3 times when I had my Wallstreet. It was explained to me by a technician that this mechanism was a bad design from Apple, which they did correct on the Lombard, or at least the Pismo that I have now. The reason is that you have to apply to much of a force to put the cards in. There are some springs that get extended so that the card will eject by itself when you drag it to the trash or press the eject button on the Wallstreet. There is no such thing on a Pismo. Fortunately, at the time I had my Pismo, PowerBook Parts <http://www.pbparts.com/> did charge only $50 plus shipping to replace it. It's a fairly good price when you consider that the laptop has to be almost completely taken apart to get to the cage. I did the last replacement myself so I know what I'm talking about. > > I am going to order a floppy drive shortly to allow easy file > transfer between the iMac and the 7200/200. With ZIP 100 modules discounted to $20 from MacZone (?), I wouldn't pay much more than that for a floppy module, but that's just me... -Laurent. -- ===================================================================== Laurent Daudelin <http://home.cox.rr.com/nemesys> Logiciels Nemesys Software mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] "Heuristics are bug ridden by definition.
