While I agree that the drive is not reliable (have already had mine replaced (alas, Apple gave me another LG model), that doesn't automatically rule out other problems *also* being present as well. Almost enough to get me to spring for a third-party CD/DVD or else a CD/CD-RW drive (recommendations?) in about a year when I expect this replacement drive will fail me...
