That's because she probably has AppleTalk on. When I boot in 9.2.2, waking
up when AppleTalk is active can take up to 10 seconds on my Pismo 400. On OS
X, wake up is instantaneous. Check it out, I'm 99.9% sure that's her
problem. For that reason, I came at some point to keep AppleTalk off until I
needed it for printing.
