Hello all,
Well, Jaguar took only (!) 45 minutes for a clean install on a wiped
3GB partition (12GB internal drive) on my Pismo 500Mhz. Launch now
is 1:05 from startup tone to finish. All windows and actions feel
quicker than 9.2.1, maybe that's the geewhiz factor but I'm
completely satisfied.
The new Sherlock is amazing. The photo search is a little weak, but
the yellow pages, movies, and flight info channels are terrific.
I'm still in Eudora, but I may just give Mail a try.
I tried running a particularly challenging old program in Classic --
Automap, one of the earlier and still most useful routing programs
I've run on Macs. No hangups or troubles.
Anyway, just wanted to say that I would wholeheartedly recommend
10.2, particularly if you have access to the educational discount
price. I think it was about $75, free shipping.
Best to all,
Joel
