Apple provides 1 year tech support on refurbished machines--or at least it did in March. Even the tech support guy conceded that. But he stated that since I could not establish that I was a mac owner I couldn't talk to him. I don't think this is an Apple policy, I just think its a young guy on the line. BUT you know that it is impossible to talk to apple tech support without an interruption every 30 seconds suggesting that the conversation would go better with AppleCARE. this is standard "sell the warranty" stuff you get in every tech store in America.
