How I described it in my last email is EXACTLY Apple's Policy; I used to be one of their phone agents. Apple's LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY is one year (or, if you read the warranty, actually it's 366 days; they give you the leap day even if it's not a leap year). Apple's Phone Based Technical Support is provided free for 90 Days; after 90 days, there is a $50/call charge. If the issue is determined to be covered by the warranty by the end of the call, they don't charge you the $50 after all.
