This is the main problem: where the signal comes into the printer doesn't matter, because the Mac driver ONLY looks at the serial port for the printer..it won't look on the network, because no matter which port on the printer is being used, the signal started on the ethernet side. You need to a) find 3rd party network drivers for that printer, or b) find a printer with network drivers. (Some epson inkjets, and any printer that works with Laserwriter drivers, meaning Postscript printers) > -- Wherever you go, there you are.
