I don't know about the DVD drive, but I just got today a Matsushita (i.e. Panasonic) CDRW drive that was supposed to go into the Toshiba Lifebook (from Ted Burford on this list--thank Ted! Got it today!) and the plug from this Matsushita drive matched my Pismo LG drive exactly. It's in there right now, spinning away. The whole process of swapping out the Toshiba sled with the Pismo sled took all of a couple of minutes. I wonder if the DVD drive is any different?
