Any flash memory has a limited number of writes.  Reads are okay 
though.  So using it as a boot disk is okay but VM may be hard on it. 
It depends on how many writes it can handle.  Early Non-Volatile 
memory was only good for 10,000 writes (and some designers didn't 
figure so well).  AFAIK anything current is good for 100,000 writes 
or more.

Harddisk are also limited but it's based on hours of operation. 
Since the disk is spinning anyway and the magnetic media isn't worn 
out by writing or reading it doesn't matter how many reads or writes 
are performed on an HD.
