On the X4U list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]), I read of a cause for some of the
modem connection/disconnection problems under OS X, and a solution. I thought I'd
carry it over to this list, as some have had significant modem problems.

Apparently under OS X and its later variants, it is possible to erroneously have
multiple copies of modem scripts installed. People have found multiple copies under
the following directories: /System/Library/Modem Scripts, user/Library/Modem Scripts,
and/or /Library/Modem Scripts. People having these modem hangs, unwanted disconnects,
and connection problems might want to look through their directories for multiple
occurrences. I don't know where the proper location should be for the one desired
script.
