I solved my problem with a DC to AC inverter that I got at SprawlMart for
about $29 about 2 years ago..it has 2 ac outlets and can put out 300watts  an
outlet..I have had both my Pismo and imac se400 hooked in to it in the van
going down the road with no problems..have even had an epson 740 printer
hooked in and printing off either machine..The only caveat...you MUST have
the vehicle running!!!
