Actually, I think it's an OS X thing rather than Safari b/c I had a preferences memory problem for a lot of apps for the first week or so of operation in 10.2.3/10.2.4. Jaguar is nice & stable but it certainly is still a work in progress (I'm thinking my assertion that 10.2.5 might be the first real non-beta OS X release was a little premature).
