What powerbook model is it and what os are you using and you ram.....with a ws 2 and the latest os 10 it takes me like 6 minuts when I am booting the 10 and classic.....os 10 needs at least 256 ram to function properly......in os 9 having an os for a while without properly maintaining it leads to many extensions and then very long powerup load times....I think it is the same with 10 but I am not sure. If this is really annoying I would suggest re-formating the drive and re-installing the os of your choice...but that really is a pain and you would loose all your data unless you back it up first...

Ok, the NOT sleeping would be a wonderful idea, if my Powerbook didn't take litterally 10-12 sometimes 15 minutes to boot. What gives?? I thought this was normal for an older 'book. Can this be fixed, if not sleeping is my only choice. Help?
