My setup is: Powerbook G3 Series Wallstreet 292mhz OEM 8 gig HD 128mb Ram 14.1" screen
I believe the startup problem is bad ram, most of time is spent at grey screen or before. I will be swapping out the two 64mb sticks tomorrow for a total of 512 =) I have not installed any software that I know of that would initialize at startup.
