Hi all, I've messaged the list about this a few times, but now it's gotten even more bizarre. I have a Pismo 400, 512 MB RAM, 10.2, etc. etc. It has a relatively new (6 months) BTI battery which works great, usually. Here's the hitch though:
Sometimes, when I am disconnecting the AC power (and the battery is still in the computer), my Pismo will just die as if it had no power at all. I've tried this, and it doesn't seem to happen consistently -- I always check to make sure the battery is properly seated before I remove the AC power, and things like that. It happens both when the Pismo is awake and when it is asleep, but not always. Then -- almost always after this happens, the Pismo refuses to start up from the battery. I try reseating it, and that doesn't help. Today this happened, and I tried an experiment: I plugged in the AC adapter but did *not* plug the adapter into the wall -- so there was no juice coming in that way. Poof, it started up just fine! Can anyone explain this? Has anyone else had a similar problem? Much thanks -- Dave -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
