Hi everyone,

I have just bought an 800mhz iBook (CDROM) and it seems to be having a bit of a problem with charging.

If the machine is in use, it charges fine, with the amber ring. Though occasionally the ring turns green for 30 seconds or so, then back to amber.

However if the machine is asleep, or turned off, the ring is only amber for 30 seconds and then returns to the green state. I left it this way (sleeping) during the after noon at 50% charge, and when I came back later in the evening the battery was still at 50%.

Has anyone else had or heard of this problem and have a solution?

Thanks for any help

Emma
