I'm contemplating upgrading the CPU to either a G4 or a 900MHz G3.
Newer Tech (through OWC) has a G4 500 upgrade, as does PowerLogix. PowerLogix also has a 900MHz G3 upgrade option. Does anyone have any thoughts on these upgrades? 900MHz sounds very attractive, but in the real world is the 400MHz difference between the G4 and G3 upgrades noticeable? (Well, OK, I'm sure it is for non-Altivec stuff, but what about OS X and other Altivec apps?) Of the G4 upgrades, is there any real difference between the two? They both use 7410s, I believe...
Anyway, I await your recommendations!
Peace, Drew --
