If anyone would like to test this theory, just go out to your car and short your battery (only 12v!) with a large metal object, the resulting fire should serve as proof enough.

Ok, if you're an electrical engineer then you should also be able to distinguish between the enormous charge that is held in the ca battery and the puny 2A available in a laptop PSU...
