I mentioned earlier that there was a thread over at Macfixit on problems with OS X and
LOmbards

Here is the URL

http://www.macfixitforums.com/php/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Forum35&Number=178765&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1

If this doesn't work do a search in the portables forum for "OS X Freeze and Lombard
Powerbooks/Part 2"

This will help you identify whether or not the CPU is the issue or not
