It's not that tough, although you will need to completely disassemble the PowerBook. This entails removing the display (not too hard), separating the upper and lower cases, and a few other parts (hard drive, I think). I've done this procedure in less than 40 minutes and I was being VERY careful. YMMV. If you've worked on hardware before you shouldn't have any trouble. Do you have the take-apart instructions?
