Not to be the dumbest kid on the block....but...exactly what is a "kernel panic"? I am running 10.3 on a Pismo 400 (2 1/2 yrs old) and an imac 400 se (4 yrs old) and don't think that I have ever had one on either machine. What are the symptoms of this event?
In current versions of OSX it appears as a somewhat darkened greyed screen with a message that you must restart your computer. In earlier versions it was lines and lines of code appearing on the screen that was more than a little worrisome. You somehow expected the cyber-police to burst in through the windows. They come from hardware problems and some instances when the OS is FUBAR.
