Increased security because you can now set the computer to always ask for your password when the computer awakes, even if the screen saver didn't kick in. I much prefer the appearance of the window title bars and menu items in Panther as opposed to Jaguar. The title bars are no longer transparent (or if they are, it's almost unnoticeable), so it's not longer a mess if you have multiple inactive windows on the top of each other. Panther includes minimum faxing functionalities. For those of us like me that needs occasional fax capacity, that's pretty good, I can now yank faxSTF out of my disk! The Finder labels are back. The Finder window sidebar is more and more useful. Specially in open and save dialogs. That's just a few things that came up off the top of my head. I'm sure that others can chime with other things too.
