Hi gang, Maybe a post here will unfreeze my brain stall: I have a cable running from my stereo system, from the tape "audio out" via phono plugs, into an adapter that winds up as a mini stereo jack which I've plugged into the jack on the back of my G4 tower. I can turn on the sound control panel and turn it on and play the radio/tape/LP through the computer speakers.
Now, how do I "record it" and convert it into a digital file that can then be burned onto a CD? I'm sitting here congratulating myself on finding the proper cables to get the sound into the computer. But now I am stumped. I have itunes, I have toast titanium 5.2; I have quicktime pro (5); but none of them have an apparent method of converting this analog signal into digital files. I see the "convert to MP3" option in itunes, but that doesn't get me there either. Surely I am missing something obvious, hence the "brain cramp." Can someone here give me a swift boot up the next couple of stairs? Regards, Sid B -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
