Email still fairly slow. Mailsmith is a lot faster, and so is Musashi, than Mail, 
Thunderbird or Mulberry.

I have control of  the internal modem. The System Prefs/Network must be configureed 
right. Select 'show printer/ modem and delete enteries. Then select 'show internal 
modem and make sure your entry is there. CLick apply.
