Yes, the TV will serve as a monitor if attached using an S-Video out cable (they were supplied with the Wallstreets and maybe your TiBook one is the same - a very short little cable of 2 or 3 inches going from S-Video out to "cinch" connector?) The clarity is pretty yuck if I remember correctly from my experiments years ago with TVs used as overhead projectors in Hong Kong conference rooms - but it should work OK.

So I have a (by all accounts) ancient Wallstreet 250MHz laptop that I want to use as a hook-up for getting my iTunes into my home stereo. My question is can I use an S-Video to Composite adapter (such as the one that was supplied with my TiBook) to output the video to a television (the built-in 13.3" screen finally bucked the kicket)
(as an aside, does anyone know a place where I can get a replacement video cable for the 13.3" LCD that isn't $70-140, most places charge exorbitantly high prices for these simple ribbon cables)
Thanks, Andrew
