Usually, I clone my current installation on an external FireWire drive, so if something is really wrong, I can always go back, but everything seems to be fine, then I bring back a few files from my previous installation, checking each time if everything is still working as it should. Things I bring back are my network locations, global, third party preference panes and the likes. If I have some preferences for some applications that I don't want to lose, then I bring them back as well from my clone copy. It has always been working well for me and never had any major issue. -Laurent. -- ======================================================================== Laurent Daudelin Developer, Multifamily, ESO, Fannie Mae mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Washington, DC, USA ************************ Usual disclaimers apply *********************** -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
