Is there DVD viewer software available that allows for screen capture? The Apple DVD Player v. 3.2 won't allow it.
DVD Capture: http://www.digitallyobsessed.com/software.php3 It works with the standard Apple DVD Player v3.2
I've used it a number of times under OS 10.2, as you haven't said which version of X you're using. The web page states its been updated for Panther compatibility.
I second DVD Capture.
Other alternatives are capturing from the free VLC <http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/14738> or using Snapz Pro X <http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/snapzprox/>.
