Re: modem keeps redialing

When my mom's iMac kept doing that I forced a quit 
[command-option-escape] and learned that it was the Time 
Synchronization which made no sense because the settings were set to 
synchronize only when online - not to take the initiative to connect. 
Go figgyah!
