isn't the lacie supposed to read/write +/- format? if so, then it might just be the drive itself.

Likewise....EXCEPT.. It says that DVD Player will now recognise DVD+R disks...NOT on my iMac SE 400(Graphite)...It spits it out like vinegar water...My Pismo 400 (A/C replaced the defective Mat DVD w/an LG in 12/03) will at least mount a DVD+R but DVD Player starts up and I just get the Spinning Wheel..Have to force quit to get out of it... It WILL
play a +R that is inserted into the LaCie DVD burner that is hooked to either/both machines.....Otherwise everything seems copacetic..

Yes, The LaCie does do both +/_ writing w/out a problem..Prior to today, the LaCie would mount the + DVD's on the desktop but DVD Player would not function in either system...just kept getting the spinning beachball/ejection...Now at least, the imac/pismo will play the + DVD from the LaCie in DVD Player. Still no joy w/+RW's though...They only work on my Phillips Desktop player/burner hooked into the TV...
