Nor is it a very good idea, since burning, then re-ripping will result in degradation of the songs. There's a couple of different routes you can go on this, though:


1 - I'm not sure if you can use the iPod as a FW drive on the PC as you can on the Mac, but if you can, mount the iPod as a drive, then copy the iTunes music folder to it and transfer to the Mac (note the difference between doing this and syncing songs normally). This is the most efficient method.
2 - Use one of several utilities for extracting songs from the iPod. Do a search on Versiontracker or head over to ipodlounge.com. This method may be a little more difficult, but if you are unable to do #1, this might be your best bet.


As others have suggested, don't forget to de-authorize the old computer before turning it back in.
