GURU is wrong. 512 MB max, 256 MB upper and 256 MB lower. In fact,
I've not heard of *any* report of a Lombard with over 512 MB RAM. I
could be wrong. And in this case, I'd love to be proven wrong! :-)
But I strongly doubt it. :-/

GURU is wrong. Lombard/Wallstreet uses an older memory controller that
does not recognize stacked memory modules. So a RAM module that works
fine in Pismo and other Macs may not work correctly in Lombard (although
RAM that works fine in Lombard/Wallstreet will probably work fine in
Pismo et.al.). Whatever you buy, make sure the RAM is specifically made
for Lombard/Wallstreet.

: So my bottom-line question: Is it wise or risky replacing the bottom
: socket low profile 64 MB module in my Lombard with a 528 MB unit, or
: should I be more convervative and replace it with a 256 unit?

256 MB module.
