Hi All - For those who might be interested here's an update on the Wallstreet problems that I was having. After much taking apart and investigating I am pretty certain that the problem is the PMU. It display's the same symptoms with or without the processor card in so I don't think that it's even getting to that point. So I'll be getting a PMU (look for my SWAP list post in a few moments) and trying that next. Thanks to all who responded both on and off list for their help and suggestions.
Original message partly follows: >Specifically the symptoms of the Wallstreet are: Screen stays black, no >battery charge indication on the little lights on the side, no HD noise, no >chime, etc. Pressing the reset sequence written on the back results in the >PB alternating between the fan running at full speed with the green power >light on and, after pressing, the powerbook sitting there appearing totally >dead. Pressing the power button alone has not effect. I have removed the >battery and held down the reset sequence for a couple of minutes with no >effect other than that mentioned above. Any other ideas appreciated. Sam Strong Henley Middle School -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
