Initially, it worked "ok", with annoying limitations.
We couldn't get anything in the back quarter of our home to work. Apparently there's something in the garage's circuit breaker box that stopped it.
Two of the wall-box interfaces fried during our first thunder storm. Adding a protector between the wall socket and the box stopped it from functioning.
Actual throughput was about 3 Mbps (the devices were advertized as 14 Mbps). Fast enough to keep up with something like cable modem. But it's abysmally slow compared to the 10, 50, and 100 Mbps we normally use to print or to move files between machines on our LAN.
Bottom line: Far more expensive, less versatile, less reliable, and far slower than running Cat5 or a using cheap 802.11a/b/g WAP. I think this is an interesting technology that needs a few years to mature.
