My DSL moden got fried by a near by lightning strike right before I went out of town and I've been using my internal modem until my new DSL modem arrives. However it no longer recognizes a dial tone. I can no longer check the modem box when trying to setup a new location in the network port configurations screen.
Is my modem toast? Or am I suffering from some sort of software malfunction?
