Again I say, Finder Window, not Desktop. I am not talking about putting a
picture on the desktop I am talking about putting a picture in a Finder
window.

Options) and you will see an option to display a picture in the Finder
Window. There is no tile, center, stretch to fill or fill screen.

Well now, I have fired up the iMac with its 500 G3 10.3.X. Opened up finder,
Went to view options, added picture. I was in the Three bears Story. First
picture was wayyy tooo big and there was no navigation of the extra real
estate. The next picture selected was toooo Small. So, I guess I will use
graphic converter from Lemke Soft to resize. Your observation is correct.
This could be improved upon.
