If you want to use the internal Airport slot, yes. You can use a 3rd- party 802.11g (this is the standard which Apple brands "Airport Extreme") card in the PCMCIA slot; it's not as neat, and there are issues about compatible drivers - see this list's archives of the last couple of weeks for further discussion!
