I had asked if there was a way to transfer my iTunes collection from the iMac to the Powerbook

Just got an iPod and started using iTunes 'properly'. I am sharing the iPod with my PC-using son. I learned the following:

1. Load all the tunes on the PC first, then plug the iPod into the Mac (if you start on the Mac, the PC cannot read the iPod and you have to initialise it for the PC, losing your songs).

2. You can use more than one computer but turn off 'Auto Update'. Just manually drag the next batch of tunes to the iPod icon.

Forgive me if this is stating the obvious but we are enjoying our new toy!
