Ok. Maybe you have a chance (you should need an OS 9 Disc). First, you should make a backup of your documents and files (Users > "User name" > Desktop/Documents/Music/Movies/etc). Also, you can make a Backup of all your preferences (on Users / "User name" / Library / Preferences). If you can't make a BackUp, make a new folder and put those files there. If you can't fix the System, check the following (if all the rest fails: - Delete the folder "System" and the User ones (make the Backuop I told you). Same with the Applications with came with OS X (make a BackUp of the others or move them to another place) - Boot from the OS X Disc and Install OS X (Without formatting the Disc). - Once installed, copy the old Preferences again (with caution and not more than three or four preferences each time, then reboot and check those Applications). - Bring the Movies, Music and other files were they belong. - Put the non Apple Applications again on the Applications folder. - Make little replacements each time (don't worry, about your files). If something goes wrong, you will be able to boot on OS 9 again (you need the disc only for this) and make the "Undo" thing.
