I have not tried VPC 7 but have never had issues installing any OS on VPC 6 and unless someone gives me a G5 system, I guess I won't be needing VPC 7 anytime soon.
I remember using VPC 5 (I think) which recognized my 3DFX card on a PM8600/250 so I could play Pandemonium using the card for hardware acceleration, glide drivers worked on Win98.

There are many reasons. Think of the buyers (or even sellers) who don't
see the difference and purchase a Virtual PC version without an
operating system. Think of the buyers who purchase the Windows 2000
version. Why do they have to be punished running an older (MUCH older,
as a matter of fact) system? Will they receive XP upgrade later?
BUT ecen if I give you all of the above, now that VPC with XPSP2 is available, they still
aren't selling it with Win2k **or** without an OS.
