I saw at Best Buy one of the Pioneer 108 dvd burners on sale, if I put that
in a firewire case will that model work? Also its 16x - will slower DVD media
burn on it? Of course, time is money but the slower media is cheaper. I
confirmed I have a ibook 933 G4 model
Thanks in advance,
Linda

Here's what *I* did.

A) Purchased a firewire case,
B) Purchased a standard Pioneer DVD burner (the 8x model) from
newegg.com (around $75 shipped). Pioneer is the OEM for many of the
Apple SuperDrives.
C) Set the drive's jumper to master and put the drive in the case.
D) Plugged it into my powerbook.
E) Followed the instructions at

burn_idvd_other.html
F) Burned away
