I'm not sure what you mean by "airport base station control", Bruce. Do you mean configuring or changing the ABS settings? Or do you mean turning the ABS modem on & off?

Well actually I found the relevant docs on Apple's web site and got it set using my OS X system at home via ethernet. I wanted to set some restrictions on it and set up the PPP setup. The problem with that link is that the wireless system I currently have is a 5300c, the one he said couldn't work with it. The laptop is now happily connected via my Orinoco card.


The as-yet-unaquired Powerbook won't see OS 9 at all, it's going straight to X; I've got nothing anymore that needs OS 9 to run.
