Well the display has costed me over 500 EUR, which I know is crazy but is the best (actually the *only*) deal I could get in Germany. Unfortunately i'm in the meantime relocating, so I will have to wait a few more days before giving it a try, I will then certainly report (possibly with a smile!) What cable you refer to? The display assembly has all the cables it needs, so I should just be able to plug the so- called "data" cable to the logic board (left side, is this the ribbon cable you refer to?) and the backlight cable to the inverter on the right side.
