Unless you have some special model of television set, it won't be able to
"talk" to your base station, grey or express.
I'm not sure about how a Playstation connects to the Internet but I would
assume that you can probably connect it to any base station that provides
DHCP.
No AirPort Base Station can be upgraded to a later model. You have to buy a
whole new base station if you're not happy with the one you have...
