Actually, it should be: Cmd-Ctrl-Power
The cited combination (shift-fn-ctrl-power) should shut it down - it's what's written on the back of the Wallstreet (under the port-cover door, next to the ADB port) and it's always worked for me.
(And I used it a LOT because my Wallstreet had a freezing problem - still will, when I replace the RAM module I contributed to my father's tray-loader iMac - hardly worth the money for the new RAM, except that I feel much better having this old machine in danger zones such as the kitchen counter - serving recipes - or work areas - playing audio books or internet radio - than putting my 17" G4 in such danger!)
