So I've confirmed this thing is dead. The whiff of smoke, combined with the slightly exposed wiring (insulation melted?) of the thin cable where it enters the adaptor was a bit of a giveaway.
So I need a replacement, but I'm very hesitant to get another Apple adaptor as this problem I encountered doesn't seem uncommon. http://www.inertramblings.com/archives/000700.html http://www.appleleak.com/B00007IFJY/Apple_Extra_Portable_65W_Power_Adapter_for_iBook_and_PowerBook_G4.html (4th review) Any suggestins for an alternate? Mine is the 65W Adapter, Model A1021 (as indicated on the unit) or Mfr Part # M8934LLA (as per some web sites) Thanks. -- Non Illegitimi Carborundum -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
