Hello folks,
Here's something to ponder. . .my roomates iBook 14.1" is having issues. I've already wiped his hard drive clean and re-installed OS X, but it's happening again. From time to time, his hard drive makes strange noises. . .like a faint grinding sound. Then, the computer freezes. After resetting it, it stalls for a long time, then the screen goes to black and we are prompted with the console! I've only seen this once a long time ago with a PowerMac G4, but that problem was caused by the G4 overheating (it was an upgrade card that didn't have sufficient cooling.) Any ideas would be helpful. . .
